What steps has Teespring taken to reduce Copyright infringement

hello Teespring - you declared via an announcement that you were taking steps to reduce copyright infringement - yet a search of your site shows dozens of campaigns that violate my copyrighted designs. So what are you doing exactly? Why do you make it so difficult for real designers to be the sole income earner from their designs. You eventually (often weeks later) acknowledge a takedown notice but a quick search shows you've allowed a few other identical campaigns to replace it. Why don't you establish a practice that only one campaign of a given design can be run at a time. Much easier for designers to combat any copyright infringement. Are you willing to adopt such a practice?  Obviously if 2 or more campaigns are being run at the same time by different people one or more must be an infringement. Its unethical, illegal and extremely unprofessional for you Teespring to benefit from these proceeds of crime

Our team is constantly working on new ways to protect unique and original content on site. Please review our recent updates to IP policies and protocol and the most recent tech features to support these updates. There is a specific process for reporting potentially problematic content as well as copycats.

1)Report copycats of content you sell on Teespring = contact [email protected] and include:

    -Teespring login email

    -URLs to original campaigns/stores

-URLs to copycat campaigns/stores (listed on Teespring and/or Boosted Network)

2)Report copycats of content you DO NOT sell on Teespring = fill out the IP claim form.

Please keep in mind our team may require up to an hour per campaign in order to verify the legitimacy of the claim. So if you report multiple  links at a time we might not be able to take down all offending content within 24 - 48 hours given the volume of reports we receive each day.

  • Zafar at Teespring - you said "So if you report multiple  links at a time we might not be able to take down all offending content within 24 - 48 hours given the volume of reports we receive each day." Well I can tell you from experience it is more like 7 to 14 days before you answer and then the exact same shirt reappears.
